Welcome to the website for the redevelopment of land at Herringham Road, Charlton Riverside

A public consultation on the planning proposals for the site took place on the 14th and 16th September 2017. You can view details of the public consultation and the materials presented below.

the site

The site, shown below, is bounded to its north by the River Thames, to its south by Herringham Road, whilst the Thames Barrier sits to its north east. The site has been identified as suitable for the delivery of a residential led mixed-use development, as outlined in Greenwich Council’s Charlton Riverside Supplementary Planning Document, adopted in June 2017.

the proposals

The proposals are still being developed, however our plans at present include:

  • Up to 500 new homes, including private and affordable housing
  • New retail units
  • New community space
  • New business / commercial space
  • Improved and activated riverside setting
  • Enhanced access across the site and onto the Thames Path
  • New green and landscaped areas on the ground floor, all publicly accessible

A public exhibition on the proposals took place on the following times and dates, all local residents, businesses and stakeholders were invited to attend.

Saturday 16th September | 10am – 2pm
